Seafight - What do the different display options mean?
What do the different display options mean?
High Quality: A sharp display of the entire sea chart. Leads to irregular or jumpy movements in the game on most PCs. You'll have to test for yourself if your PC can handle it without problems.
Models: If turned on, ship models, glitters, etc. will be shown normally. If you turn off this option, you will see small squares with symbols, so that you can continue to tell the difference between glitters, ships, monsters, etc..
Surroundings: When turned on, the animations will be shown normally, e.g. monsters move, glitters sparkle, etc. If you uncheck the option, you will only see pictures without animation.
Attacks: If turned off, you will no longer see on the top left and top right who is attacking you and/or who or what you are attacking.
Damage: Activate this option, and you will see the new animations of the ship's damage, i.e. when you have taken on damage, your ship will start to burn. The more damage you have, the larger the fire.
Impact: Displays the animation of the impact from your cannons on another ship or NPC.
Damage points: If activated, you will see for each hit an exact display of how many of your or the opposing ship's/NPC's/monster's life points were deducted.
Shots: Another of our new animations. If activated, you'll see your cannonballs and harpoons shooting toward the ship, NPC or monster. That way you'll see exactly where your enemy is when you're being shot at.
Sound: Turn on the loudspeakers and listen :-) If you activate this option, you will hear every shot and every ship explosion in the area.
Navigation: Can be activated in order to control your sea chart with the mouse. This causes the borders of the chart to be shown for the purpose of shifting the visible portion of the chart. You can also shift the visible area of the chart with the keyboard. Reaching glitters or monsters which, due to their random placement, are only half visible on the edge of the chart, can only be reached with navigation turned off.
